The Chernobyl Disaster as a Social and Political Problem
Abstract
The article examines the challenges facing humanity after nuclear power plant disasters in Chernobyl and Fukushima. The issues considered include the need for construction of a nuclear power plant in the Russian energy industry, constant supervision of nuclear power plants by an independent supervisory authority, the role of the human factor in the risk society, and social responsibility for humanitarian disasters.
