Philosophical Reflection in the Social and Sociological Knowledge: To the Methodology of Modernization Research
Abstract
The paper presents the author’s view of correlation between social and sociological perception. It reveals their specific traits, consisting in differences in generalization of facts, in methods and aims of research. The article demonstrates the importance of the problem for studying large-scale social-historic processes, the scientific comprehension of which involves sciences with different levels of abstraction: philosophy and sociology, philosophy and history, philosophy and economics. The author justifies the necessity of studying of such processes on both levels. The possibility of their correlation in one research program is illustrated by the example of modernization. The paper presents the results of the research program, developed with the aim of revealing the objective laws of effect of geographical conditions and nature resources on the process of modernization.
