Ренессансный оккультизм в «галактике Гутенберга»: стратегии сопротивления буквальности в XVI-XVII вв
Аннотация
Статья посвящена проблеме взаимоотношения двух процессов, имевших место в европейской культуре раннего Нового времени: эзотерического бума, сопряженного со взлетом и падением интеллектуального престижа магии, алхимии и других отраслей оккультного знания, и становления полиграфической индустрии. Доказывается, что между этими процессами существовал глубинный антагонизм, проистекавший как минимум из двух источников. Во-первых, индустрия книгоиздания имеет принципиально экзотерический, профанирующий характер. Во-вторых, ее лавинообразный рост непосредственно способствовал подъему «буквально воспринимающего разума» (П. Бёрк) и обусловленного им миропонимания. Ставя вопрос о том, каким образом влиятельные эзотерические движения той эпохи адаптировались к культурно-цивилизационным условиям, менявшимся не в их пользу, автор делает первый подступ к его разрешению.
